Ms. Rosen is the Environmental Services Manager and a Senior Geologist for the Irvine, California office of Gannett Fleming, Inc. Ms. Rosen is a Professional Geologist in the state of California with nearly 20 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. She specializes in program and project management for site assessment and remediation work in the residential / commercial / industrial redevelopment, oil and gas, transportation, ports, municipalities, chemical, manufacturing, public school, and military industries. Ms. Rosen has a technical emphasis in the fields of geology, hydrogeology, assessment of soil, soil vapor, and groundwater contaminants. Her work also focuses on remediation of soil and groundwater with emphasis on in-situ chemical oxidation, enhanced bioremediation, and other green remediation technologies. Her expertise includes management and implementation of small (gas stations/dry cleaners) to large scale (multi-million dollar airline industry) environmental investigation and remediation projects.
Ms. Rosen became passionately interested in California cleanup programs (e.g., the State Water Board’s Low-Threat Closure Policy) and funding programs (e.g., the UST Cleanup Fund, a possible drycleaner/solvent cleanup fund, etc.) during her tenure as the Southern California District Manager for Regenesis (a remediation vendor). During this time, Ms. Rosen assisted dozens of southern California consultants with the implementation of remediation programs supported by the UST Cleanup Fund. She also observed firsthand the contrast to the lack of cleanup funding for dry cleaner and other chlorinated solvent impacted sites. Because of this interest, Ms. Rosen joined the Board of Directors of CORE in January 2013 with a special emphasis on developing a California drycleaner/solvent cleanup fund.
